I wanted to start by giving my heartfelt thanks to all the cards Lori and I received at our session in San Antonio. Thanks to all our Innate Legacy family for reaffirming your satisfaction in our program. Your support is so important to all of us and as you know, it is our mission to help as many chiropractors and their teams as possible THRIVE in this profession. It feels GOOOOOD to know you are all living your dreams, serving a lot of people and having the practice you all deserve - THANK YOU!!
When you wake up each morning you are standing at the tipping point of your day. One way tips you into a wonderful day filled with good things, and the other tips you into a day filled with problems. You are the one who determines what your day will be – by the way that you feel. Whatever you’re feeling is what you’re giving, and with certainty, that is exactly what you will receive back in your day, surrounding you wherever you go.
As you begin your day and you’re feeling happy, while you keep feeling happy, your day will be great. But if you begin your day in a bad mood and you do nothing to change it, your day will not be great at all.
One day of good feelings not only changes your day, it changes your tomorrow, and your life! Provided you maintain your good feelings and you go to sleep feeling good, you begin the next day with a momentum of good feelings. As you continue to feel good, your good feelings multiply by the law of attraction, and so it continues day after day and your life gets better and better.
So many people don’t live for today. They are consumed with the future, yet it is how we live today that creates our future. It is what we feel today that matters. Every day is an opportunity for a new life, because every single day you are on the tipping point of your life. Any one day can change the future by the way you feel. Tip the balance to good feelings and the force of love will change your life so fast that you will scarcely believe it
GO FOR IT!

One of the most important things to realize as a CA is that the people who come into our practice aren’t always at their best. Especially at the beginning. They are suffering, and that can reflect on their behavior. It is one of our many talents when we can give them exactly what they need; sympathy and patience. We must communicate clearly what they can expect here in our office and what is expected of them so they get the best results possible.
Question: What does your New Patient Intake look like? Do you have just 1-2 short forms for them to complete initially or are you bombarding them with a clipboard full of paperwork? Remember they are not feeling their best today.
Question: Is your office warm and inviting? Soft colors, soft music, fresh flowers, good smells? All the things that make us feel better? Think of how you feel when you walk into a spa, you get that AAAHH!
That is the feeling of healing we want all patients to have in your office.
You are dedicated to helping people: Put on your Chiropractic Advocate hat!! Get out there and share the chiropractic message of the devastating affects of the subluxation on our health and well being. The more we can serve the better the world!!!
New patient dinners can generate an almost unlimited number of new patients when delivered properly. There are three key steps:
- Generate a substantial number of leads
- Call to set appointments
- Delivering a good talk with a solid close
When calling for appointments our team would explain that they had won a free dinner for two at such and such restaurant. They also explained what the event was about, and that our doctors would be presenting for around twenty minutes on how to reach optimum health before the dinner.
My talk was around 20 to 30 minutes, and at the end I made an offer that was only good for that night to encourage them to schedule a check-up. I also handed them a card with 10 lines and asked them to write down the names of people they know that needed to hear this information. It was common to get 40 to 80 new leads from each dinner. Those leads were like referrals for our next dinner.
We did one dinner per week, and we typically generated 30 to 50 new patients per month from this activity. That didn't include all the referrals that started to come in from the new patients that started care with us.
New patient dinners can be very effective, but they must be implemented properly. I know dozens of successful offices that have failed to be successful with this program. It’s all about the details, and you really need someone to coach you through the full process. I've done my best to give you an overview here, but if you really want to go after this it will take a bit more coaching.
